Canada's largest tree, the Cheewhat Cedar in Pacific Rim National Park, Vancouver Island

The giant Western Red Cedar stretches 182ft high, 60.2ft around, and is thought to be nearly 3000 years old

Ancient Cedars can grow into many wierd shapes and sizes such as this one
The old-growth forest ecosystems protected in this park are amongst the most beautiful and inspiring I have ever seen. A definate place to visit again.

Nice TJ, blog looks good and I am in love with the last image in this series, it really really does a great job of giving you a sense of what the Cheewhat Lake area is really like.
